What is kinusaiga?
Think of it as a paint-by-number where the paint is fabric.
Kinusaiga is the Japanese art of no-sew fabric painting. The design is carved into a board as shallow grooves, and you press the edges of small fabric pieces into those grooves with a simple tool. The grooves show you where everything goes; you choose the colors and prints. The finished piece has the soft texture and depth of a quilt without a single stitch.
